  • According to WordPress 4.7 Master List, WordPress 4.7 and W3 Total cache – V0.9.5.1 are NOT compatible.

W3 Total cache – Version 0.9.5.1 is incompatible with WordPress 4.7 and you may need to remove it to access your site (Removing the plugin directory is not enough, you also need to remove the db.php, advanced-cache.php and object-cache.php files manually from the wp-content/ directory).

The other day, I contacted the developers – the next day I got back a short message saying that the plugin was functional and supported.

Obviously, something isn’t right here. If you’re having problems with 4.7 and W3 Total Cache, I suggest you contact the developers and ask for help. Perhaps if enough people explain what’s going on, they’ll fix it.

    Hello,

I made contact with them to ask if they intended to fix the issue of incompatibility with 4.7 and they responded by saying that lots off people are using 4.7 with the plugin with no issues at all. Although i am not a paying customer of the developers i do expect a little bit more professionalism from them, they could offer some evidence as to why they do not believe their Plugin is broken… even though the WP forum moderators are clearly indicating that the current version is incompatible with 4.7.

Personally i think this sort of behaviour from a developer does nothing to enhance the WP community, they must be under the impression that we all love their product so much we will not find an alternative that works reliably…..

yes but i tested that plugin in wp 4.7 and its working
i don’t know why author is not interested to provide any status or compatibility about that
    Thanks

Is there a date when a new version will be available that fixes the 4.7 compatibility issue. I realize that some people are not having the issue but lots of others are. I can’t afford to waste more time on trying to reinstall in the hope that it won’t block access to WP. Thanks.
