 * Since php 8.x thread is closed, I am posting a new topic even if it is a duplicate
   of other people’s errors. Dreamhost forced an upgrade from php 7.4 to php 8.1
   today. When I tried to access the site there were these errors on the front page
   of the site. I could only downgrade to v8.0 and still the errors occur. Since
   we use the free version we can’t open a ticket on the main Events Cal site.
 * For security purposes I have removed identifiable directory locations but the
   rest is standard.

 * Hi [@cyberdave](https://wordpress.org/support/users/cyberdave/) ,
   Thanks for
   reaching out!
 * At this time, we do not yet fully support PHP 8.1. However, we are working on
   making our plugins compatible with PHP 8.1.
 * See known issues [here](https://theeventscalendar.com/known-issues/#php8-compatibility)
   and our [PHP 8.1 Support](https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/php-8-support/)
   article.
 * We have an open bug ticket for this issue and we will follow up with you here
   as soon as we have any news to share.
 * Thank you for your patience and understanding!
   Best regards,Marta

 * Hi there,
 * We’re back with good news, the FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING and deprecated PHP functions
   issues were fixed on Version 6.0.12, improving PHP 8.1 compatibility.
 * Please update the plugin to apply that fix in your websites.
 * Best regards,
