 * Before I give it a try, I’m curious about your experience with compatibility
   with some of my favorite plugins. Does WPTouch play nicely with your plugin?
   It doesn’t with Wordfence (won’t consistently display the mobile theme, but they
   tell me they’re working on it). Can I still use W3 Total Cache? And finally,
   does your plugin make Bad Behavior unnecessary?
 * Btw: Read your excellent article at [https://www.icontrolwp.com/2014/06/beware-new-security-theat-wordpress-misinformation-virus/](https://www.icontrolwp.com/2014/06/beware-new-security-theat-wordpress-misinformation-virus/).
   Boy was I way off on IP blocking! Unless someone in this forum is going to tell
   me that *your* article could be misinformation. ;-p
 * Thanks!

 * Hey,
 * Yea that article actually suggests that you question the author (me) and that
   you shouldn’t just accept what I say. 🙂
 * I use W3 Total Cache on my sites without issue, and I have a couple with WPTouch
   also.. no problems.
 * If you do see issues, please, please report them and I’ll see what’s up. The
   plugin use only standard WordPress hooks and filters and is very stable, but
   as with an ecosystem like WordPress, problems do arise.
 * Keep me posted!
    Paul.

 * Hey Paul. Thanks for the quick response.
 * You didn’t mention the Bad Behavior plugin. Does your plugin provide similar
   protection or totally different animal? If different, do they play nice together?
 * Thanks!

 * Hey,
 * Well I don’t know a whole lot about bad behaviour, but it hasn’t been updated
   in about 18 months, and it’s been longer since support tickets were looked at.
 * I’m honestly not going to support another security plugin… ours works well and
   I don’t see the need to support duplicated functionality. If there is something
   in Bad Behaviour you want to see in the Security Firewall, let me know and I’ll
   definitely consider it! 🙂
 * Cheers!
    Paul.

 * Sounds good to me. I was reading a comment by another developer of another security
   plugin who said not to use more than one security plugin and I’ve been using
   Bad Behavior and Sucuri. I’ll disable both but I may keep Sucuri around and enable
   it once a week to use their malware scan.
 * Thanks for all the quick responses!

 * Great! Well keep me posted on your progress.
 * Can I ask you to leave us a review on WordPress.org once you’re happy with the
   Firewall plugin? I’d really appreciate that.
 * Another thing might be to post in the BadBehaviour plugin forum to let other
   users know about this plugin and share your findings on moving from it to ours…
   some users may appreciate the considerations of a migration user.
 * Cheers!

 * Dang. I’m caught in an infinite login loop. It redirects to the “Not found” page.
   Clearing the cache didn’t help …
 * The url its redirected to is my correct hidden login url but the page displayed
   is the WP theme page “Not found”.

 * I found your article [https://icontrolwp.freshdesk.com/support/articles/3000000959](https://icontrolwp.freshdesk.com/support/articles/3000000959)
   and that got me back in.
 * Any thoughts on why the Login Protection/Rename WP Login Page option gave that
   result?

 * My guess is that your particular theme is jumping in with it’s 404 handler quite
   early and preventing the plugin from doing its work.
 * What theme are you using?

 * Its just a simple child theme that’s off the default twenty ten theme (they released
   an update to twenty ten this week that I installed with the 4.2 update). Simple
   additions or minor changes to the header, sidebar, footer and css. Nothing fancy,
   just formatting and display changes, adding images, etc.
 * I was using another login page renaming plugin. I reactivated it and it appears
   to work fine with WP Simple Firewall so I just disabled in your Login Protection
   options the Rename WP Login Page and the G.A.S.P. Protection.

 * Okay cool… I’ll see if I can narrow that down then.
 * You should still be able to use the GASP protection login feature though… it’s
   not related to renaming the login page.
 * Cheers,
    Paul.
