    Hello:

    We tried using your plugin with WC Vendors. Our rate calculation is based on weight of the products in cart. Although a small problem we are facing.

    If the products in cart are from 2 or more vendors, then the plugin calculates pricing for each vendor item separately and shows separately. This means the customer ends up paying thrice the amount for same weight of products.

    Could you guide us to a solution?

    Regards

  • @peeyooshk,

    You can achieve this with Plus version of the plugin along with our free Vendor addon plugin.

    There you can split the cart according to vendors and show the rate separately. Also, you can generate multiple shipping labels for multiple vendors in a single order.

    @niwf,

    With WC Vendors it breaks the shipping value per vendor product in the cart. As the products are shipped from same country hence the total shipping amount :

    1. Shall either be distributed based on weight to each vendor.
    Or
    2. Shall calculate total for complete cart weight and show as individual value.

    To explain the scenario, here is an example:

    Products in Cart :
    1. Product A from Vendor1 weighing 200gms.
    2. Product B from Vendor2 weighing 300gms.

    In this scenario ideally a total shipping cost of 500gms should be charged to customer.

    Also most of the logistic providers calculate prices in multiples of 500 gm.

    But as WC vendors breaks it into two separate carts, hence it calculates weight for both Vendors separately and customer has to pay for 1000gms of weight on cart page.

    Any ideas of suggestions?

    @peeyooshk,

    Our vendor addon plugin works together with WC Vendors plugin. It can distribute the weight to each vendor.

    In your case, it will calculate the rate separately for vendor-1(200g) and Vendor-2(300g) and the rate will show as a separate cart.

    For more information, please raise a query at support.xadapter.com. as I am not able to take query about Paid plugin here as this is dedicated forum for the free version.

    I am using the free version only as of now. You are correct it shows rate separate which we do not want.

    We want it to show single rate based on total weight of cart for both products which is 500gms.

    Thanks

    I do believe you are aware that Fedex in most of the asian countries charges in multiples of 500gms.

    So Based on the example i shared earlier, with WC Vendors the plugin charges 2 X 500gms charges as it assumes both products from different vendors are separate and calculates separate.

    @peeyooshk,

    The weight based packing option of the Plus version will help you to resolve this. Where the rate will be calculated according to the total weight of cart items.
