# Compatibility with WordPress

 * I have a client who needs to update WordPress from 3.8.13 and I want to back 
   up her site before I update it. I use this plugin and have recommended it to 
   her but I note compatibility only goes back to 3.9.
 * Will it probably work anyway?

 * While you can try it to see if it works, I would advise pulling a backup from
   FTP or the file manager or cPanel instead – and directly pull a database dump
   from the phpmyadmin unless their host has a tool for that on the server side.
   You’d want to be prepared with FTP access anyway, in case trying to activate 
   the plugin causes a fatal error 😉
