Of those being actively developed, how many are getting more than a handful of downloads a month? Let’s not be silly about it. How do you define “actively being developed”? A plugin that effectively meets the needs of only 6 users a month is no less valuable than one that is downloaded hundreds of times a month. As I’ve tried to illustrate, the reality is not quite as black & white as you seem to think. The only way to do this is to to start testing plugins manually in as many different server environments as possible. And then re-test them all every time there is a WordPress update. * Would you want to take that on? Thank you. It would be nice if there was a way to report this. I know people can report that something work with version 3.3.1, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it would work with multisite. * esmi, I think I’ve already said that I was not looking for a list of every plugin that works with multisite. * You seem to want to argue semantics for some reason I can not understand. Actively developed plugins are ones that are being _developed_ (not tested) actively. Popular plugins are one that meet the needs of _many_ (not six a month) users. * I was hoping (in vain apparently) that there was a list of perhaps the fifty most popular plugins that are multisite compatibly. I’ve gone to pains trying to illustrate that I am not expecting any one to test every plugin ever made, but you’ve continued to frame my question in an opposite light. If I sound a bit testy it is because you’ve gone out of your way to respond sarcastically to this fairly reasonable question.
