# Compatible with WordPress 4.0?

 * Hi, I’ve been using this plugin for a while and it has been working fine. But
   it is not working now. No notifications are being sent. I’m pretty sure nothing
   has changed at our end. When I go to WordPress > settings > email and then use
   the “send a test email” I get an error saying SMTP authentication error. But 
   we have not changed our SMTP settings and when we test the SMTP outside of WordPress
   it works fine.
 * So I’m thinking this might be a problem with WordPress / SMTP. But I just want
   to check if anyone else has had any problems like this? Could it be the BNFW 
   plugin?

 * UPDATE: I added a new SMTP plugin ([http://wordpress.org/plugins/my-smtp-wp](http://wordpress.org/plugins/my-smtp-wp))
   and now it is working again. Strange that it worked without this SMTP plugin 
   before. But, anyway, I don’t think the problem was with the BNFW plugin.

 * Glad it’s now working for you. I suppose it could be that the other SMTP plugin
   wasn’t compatible with 4.0. Either way, pleased to hear that it’s working.
