 * Site http//:www.lollieshopping.com
WP 3.5.1 Since the upgrade client has had
increasing problems with media. One day was unable to edit feature post thumbnails
and save the settings. Next day all feature post images have vanished from theme
display, both on the front-page.php where displayed and on the single.php where
displayed. Featured images already set can be seen on the post panel in the admin,
however new feature images cannot be set. Attempting to delete an image from
a post deletes it from the admin panel, however the files are not deleted from
   the server.
 * Steps taken:
    Tried all here ([http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list?replies=4](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-35-master-list?replies=4)),
disabled all plugins, switched to the twenty twelve theme. Then was UNABLE to
switch to another theme. Deleted and downloaded the twenty eleven theme and was
able to switch to it, but then tried switching back to custom theme am now getting
strange results: Chrome is loading the custom theme whereas Firefox, IE, OPera
and Safari are all still loading the site in twenty eleven. Also tried adding
   the suggested line to wp-config.

 * Do the problems occur in the default theme with no plugins?

 * I may misunderstand WPyogi, but the default theme is twenty twelve, correct?
When I activated twenty twelve for a short time, I was still unable to set a
featured image. Upload works fine, but setting a featured image does not.
 * If you meant a different theme, please tell me and I’ll try it immediately, thank
   you.
 * Also, images inserted into posts work fine, should have said.

 * Update: currently the site is set to twenty twelve but only chrome is showing
the site with this theme; all others are showing the site in twenty eleven, which
I deactivated some time ago. I should note that I am not signed into any of those
browsers as the admin, which could have something to do with the different theme
   setting.

 * Yes, as of recently, twentytwelve is “the” default, though twentyeleven can also
be used for troubleshooting. Looks like that’s what you have live, which is fine.
 * Looks like you currently have SuperCache enabled on that site, so that should
   be disabled and cleared.
 * Also, try resetting the plugins folder -they can sometimes refuse to deactivate
   completely from the dashboard:

 * Okay thanks. Had deactivated them all yes, but have renamed the plugin folder
and all browsers are showing the site in twenty twelve. I’m afraid I don’t know
this theme, it displays post thumbnails by default, yes? If so none of the post
featured images are showing. Starting with the second post, all have featured
images set but are not showing.

 * Similar problem on my site ([http://stevensautomotivemuseum.com/](http://stevensautomotivemuseum.com/))
   since upgrading to 3.5.1
 * On posts since the upgrade I cannot get the featured image to show regardless
of if I selected one. Before it was automatic to get the lead image to show.
   running twenty ten.
 * No resolution on my thread [http://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-thumbnails-on-home-page?replies=7](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-thumbnails-on-home-page?replies=7)
 * If you get a solution, can you let me know?

 * [@stevec106](https://wordpress.org/support/users/stevec106/) No luck yet but
if you checked the notify me of follow-up posts via email checkbox below the
reply box then you should get notices.
 * I am currently running another site elsewhere on 3.5.1 and building another site
offline using the same version. Neither has problems with featured images. So
I’m thinking one clear solution may be… reinstall WordPress. None too happy at
the thought but it might clear up the issue.

 * UPDATE: Just attempted reinstall of WordPress files: kept wp-content, deleted
all other files, uploaded WP and did overwriting of wp-content. The problem persists.
 * Enabled database repair and ran the script. Some database errors could not be
repaired. The script instructed me to copy/paste the following to these forums
   for help:
 * wp_posts: 5 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly
    wp_comments:
4 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly wp_options: 6 clients
are using or haven’t closed the table properly wp_postmeta: Table is marked as
crashed wp_terms: 1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly wp_term_taxonomy:
4 clients are using or haven’t closed the table properly wp_term_relationships:
1 client is using or hasn’t closed the table properly
 * Anyone who can tell me how to fix these errors gets a cookie.
