 * I tried to find answers but I did not find the proper ones.
    I do not think that
the plugin does now work! But I used the mass compressions and I payed 12 Dollars
   for all my pictures.
 * Now: I do not get the point what this plugin does. OK, it somehow compresses
items. But for me this looks like voodoo behind the scenes. I do not see any
difference on my homepage. there are some pictures in the background which are
scaled from 2 MB down to 130 kb which should be fine.
 * But there are a lot of other images (almost 90% of all my pictures) where I do
not see any difference at all. What if I use an image where 130 kb are still
   too big!
I have another picture which is 300 KB and no matter what I do, it
stays on this size. It is a picture that has 1400×1400 dimensions but I only
need 300×300 (and so its size reduction accordingly). No matter how often i manually
compress it, it will ignore everything.
 * I do not get the point why the mass compression did compress like 2000 images
in different sizes. When I chose this option it seemed obvious to me, that somehow
afterwards every picture is used only in the size it is implemented in wordpress.
But I now habe a few hundred pictures kompressed to multiple items (like 2000)
and I dont know anything to do with it. How can I access them? How can I erase
the compressed items, that where compressed totally unnecessarily?
 * I am really lost. At this point I know that the 12 dollars are gone, I do not
thing that the plugin had a malfunction. But I think I misunderstood its function.
I would love to just pay you the 12 dollars but make everything back to where
it was! Delete every compressed dublicate and just do it old fashioned way, and
crop every picture of my page by hand!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fcompletely-misunderstood-the-plugin%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi! I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues using your plugin.
 * What’s important to know when talking about “compressing” images is that it is
not related to the dimensions of an image. A compressed image keeps the exact
same dimensions as the original, it simply has a smaller file size (due to, as
you say, technical voodoo behind the scenes). The term resizing is a bit ambiguous
since it can refer to either changing the dimensions or changing the file size.
 * The second important point is that WordPress generates multiple image sizes for
each image you upload (different dimensions). This depends on the amount of plugins
you have and any settings you may have changed. Each image size with different
dimensions has to be compressed separately, which is why one uploaded image can
result in multiple compressions. This plugin will never “create” a new image
however, it simply replaces each image version generated by WordPress with a
compressed version of that exact image. This means that the plugin can’t cause
any “duplicates”. If you have image sizes in WordPress that you don’t actively
use, you can disable that image size in the plugin settings, causing it to not
   be compressed.
 * Is there anything you feel is not functioning correctly after you compressed
the images? Is it only that you feel you still need to change the dimensions
of your images and that didn’t happen? It could be a good idea to look at a guide
on how to deal with image sizes (dimensions) in WordPress, there’s several great
   ones out there.
 * If you end up having to redo a lot of your images or sizes please don’t hesitate
