Conditional logic applying after clicking button.

I need a simple textbox where people can write the answers (there is only one correct answer) plus a CHECK button to check if it’s correct. If a person writes the incorrect answer, a text appears saying something like “The answer is not correct. Try again”. If the person writes the correct answer, a text appears saying “correct answer” and the button changes to a NEXT button in order to go to the next URL/screen (or it could also be a new button under the CHECK button. That doesn’t matter).

Is it possible to do this with Contact Form 7 + Conditional Fields extension? I can’t seem to find a way to check the conditional logic in a button form.

EDIT: I forgot to say that I won’t be needing any emails sent to me, that is, I won’t be using the plug-in for a contact form. I am just using it so the user can go to the next screen or not.

It can be done, but keep in mind that conditional fields is not designed for this case. Tech-savvy people will be able to find the correct answers by looking at the source code. If that’s fine for you, I can work out an example.

Thank you, Jules. I know it’s not designed for this case but I was recommended using a forms plugin with conditional logic as the easiest way to achieve this. If you could help that’d be great. Thanks again.

Thanks a million, Jules. It is starting to work. I have managed to turn the checkbox into a button to check if the text in the textbox is correct and it works.

However, once the “Check” button is used for the first time it starts applying all the time. I mean, if I write the incorrect answer and press the Check button, it gives me a “Sorry, incorrect answer” message. But if, after that, I write the correct answer, the “YAY, correct answer” appears before pressing the Check button.

Is there any way to go around this? Thanks again.

I don’t have time to complete this specific example for you, but I hope I have given you at least a nice starting point. Next steps will include making the field readonly when the radio is checked.
