 * I’m really liking Smart Slider 3, but am having a problem with conditional visibility
   in the block editor. Everything is set up and looking great on desktop and tablet,
   except that it doesn’t look good on mobile because of the overlays.
 * So I created an image for use just on mobile, and used the block editor to add
   a conditional visibility rule to not show the slider on mobile. But no matter
   what I do, the slider still shows on mobile.
 * Is this a limitation of Smart Slider 3? I hope not! But is there some other way
   to hide it on mobile?
 * Thanks!

 * Hi [@donkiely](https://wordpress.org/support/users/donkiely/)
 * If you hid the container, then the slider within the container should also be
   hidden.
 * So in the first place, I would suggest you to check the conditional visibility
   setting that you used if it works at all. E.g.:
    1. you should add some random text
    2. save the page
    3. check it on the frontend if it appears ( it should )
    4. then apply the same condition that you tried to use for your slider
    5. save the page again
    6. check it again on the frontend if it still appears or not. If it isn’t then,
       most likely the conditional visibility feature you tried to use is broken
 * Anyways, you can always hide the slider ( or any other element) using CSS Media
   Queries and “display: none;” property as we mention here:
    - [https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1980-how-to-hide-the-slider-on-mobile](https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1980-how-to-hide-the-slider-on-mobile)
 * You could add the custom CSS on the Developer tab of your slider, into the CSS
   field:
    - [https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1806-slider-settings-developer#css](https://smartslider.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1806-slider-settings-developer#css)
 * that way the CSS would only be loaded to the page, where you published the slider.
 * **Tip:** If you don’t want to use CSS media queries and custom CSS, then Smart
   Slider 3 Pro also has an option to hide sliders in different views, however on
   this forum we can not discuss topics about the Pro version, because of the forum
   guidelines:
    - [https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products](https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products)
 * however in the documentation above, you can learn more about the Pro approach,
   as well. If you have questions connected to the Pro version, then please get
   in touch with us directly over the ticket system:
    - [https://smartslider3.com/contact-us/presale-questions/](https://smartslider3.com/contact-us/presale-questions/)
 * and we will answer your questions there.
 * Best regards,
   Laszlo.
