    My config. file is empty, and I don’t know what goes into a config file

   copied and modified to create your `wp-config.php` file.

 * In your WordPress folder you are able to find wp-config-sample.php file.
    What
   you have to do is to just to rename this file to wp-config.php and modify it 
   according to your requirments.
