# Configuration changes required when switching tracked website Piwik to HTTPS

 * Hello,
 * I am using WP-Piwik for a website which is currently only available via HTTP.
 * Now I want to switch both Piwik and the website to HTTPS and enforce HTTPS access(
   + redirects).
 * Did anybody already do this?
 * Which changes are necessary in Piwik and WP-Piwik?
 * Do I have to add [https://example.org/](https://example.org/) to the website’s
   URLs field in Piwik?
 * Will WP-Piwik “reuse” the existing site by merging [https://example.org](https://example.org)
   with the already existing [http://example.org](http://example.org)?

 * WP-Piwik uses the blog URL to identify the current Piwik site by requesting the
   site ID via Piwik’s API. So you just should make sure the URL list in Piwik contains
   the blog URL configured in WordPress. Just add both (http and https) to be sure.
