# Plugin update confirmation

 * I have check the new features related to the plugin update. I think there should
   be one confirmation popup before update the plugin with information. like your
   all the customization will be remove after updating the the plugin.
 * Or we can add some logic which will take the backup of that plugin and store 
   on the somewhere on server so if user want to recover that plugin then he can
   easily do that.

 * But there already is a link your WordPress dashboard for plugin updates. You 
   don’t have to click it but if you do you’ll see the changelog for that plugin.

 * No need for a confirmation popup. I can confirm that right now. 😉
 * If you modify any plugin on the WordPress repository and update _then you will
   lose any changes you made to that plugin_. That will happen every time.
 * If you are planning on doing that often tnen you really want to rename your modified
   plugin in it’s PHP files. There is a `Plugin Name:` tag and I believe updating
   that and creating a new plugin directory should stop you from losing your work.
