# confirmation e-mail doesn't work

 * Hi,
    My form does not send confirmation e-mails and I am unsure as to how to 
   change this.
 * I have inserted my e-mail address as “exampleemail@exampleemail.com” in the Admin
   DB form section, under “General Setup.”
    After form submission, I receive the
   entries in my database but get my error message for confirmation delivery: “This
   will be a visible notice if the plugin is not able to send out your confirmation
   mail.” Here is my code: [db_form] [input label=”Firstname *” name=”Name” required
   =”true”] [input label=”Lastname” name=”E-mail” ] [mail label=”E-Mail *” value
   =”xx@yy.zz” name=”Address” required=”true”] [submit label=”Send!”] [/db_form]

 * I think you misunderstood what the confirmation mail function does right now.
   
   It does NOT send out a confirmation mail to the mail submitted in the form. It
   however does send a mail to to the e-mail address you specified under “General
   Setup”, so right now the plugin is trying to send the confirmation mail to “exampleemail@exampleemail.
   com” which obviously will not work.
 * The possibility to send the confirmation mail to the mail address submitted with
   the form will be included in the next update.
    It will be published either today
   or tomorrow.

 * Sorry if my question was not direct, I think you have misunderstood my problem.
 * I am trying to get a confirmation e-mail to the one I have listed under “General
   Setup” and only listed “exampleemail@exampleemail.com” as an example address.
   The address I have listed there is a Gmail account : [colej4586@gmail.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/confirmation-e-mail-doesnt-work/colej4586@gmail.com?output_format=md)
 * I updated the plugin to 1.1 just to double check and am still getting the “No
   confirmation mail sent” Error Message
 * Am I missing something?

 * Sorry I’m new and I’m not entirely sure. I’m using Bluehost and after Googling,
   it may look like there are some problems with PHP and Bluehost.
 * I tried alternatively to register an e:mail with bluehost: [cole@colejohnsontrialsite.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/confirmation-e-mail-doesnt-work/cole@colejohnsontrialsite.com?output_format=md)
   and it still gives me the same error.

    Are you able to upload PHP files to your webspace? If so, please upload
   this Script: [http://up.valentinalisch.de/mail_debug.zip](http://up.valentinalisch.de/mail_debug.zip)
   to your server and open it in a webbrowser.
 * The output will tell you whether your server has the PHP `mail` function configured.

 * It is giving me an error saying your file was not located on the server.

 * Contacted Bluehost, They said they do support mail using PHP.
    Hope this helps
