• I’ve just upgraded to MailChimp for WordPress 2.0.2, alongside some customization where I use the mc4wp_merge_vars filter to add some merge vars for sign-ups coming from the registration form.

Now, MC is sending 2 confirmation emails. Everything else seems to be working OK, there’s just a duplicate of the confirmation email (a double double opt-in?!).

Not sure where to start in tracking this issue down. Any ideas? Let me know if you need more details.

    Hi Steve,

Are you using the default WP registration form?

No, it’s a customized template served via the Theme My Login plugin. However, that’s been working fine in conjunction with this plugin through extensive testing and a couple of months of being live. It’s just after this upgrade to 2.0.2 and the use the merge vars that the duplicate’s kicked in.

The last Theme My Login upgrade was in January, so it can’t be a change there that’s caused this. Although there could be a change in MC4WP that clashes with TML?

    Hi Steve,

Sorry for my somewhat late reply but this should be fixed in version 2.0.4. Thanks for reporting!
