We have been using the Google Apps Login (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/google-apps-login/) plugin alongside Force Login for a while now, to make a private intranet site that staff can access using their Google accounts to authenticate.

It seems that now after clicking the “Login with Google” button – after a successful login you are returned to the login page again. if you manually browse to a URL on the site it will work.

Not sure exactly when it stopped working quite right but it must be relating to an update from one side of the other as it did work before. Is there any obvious reason why it wouldn’t work ?

    Thanks,

    James

    Hi James,

I can’t think of any “obvious reason” as to why it stopped working for you, but I have a theory. You’re not the first person to experience a conflict between my plugin and another SSO plugin.

I’m planning another update to Force Login that may address your issue, but I can’t say for sure until it’s tested. Keep an eye out for the next version of Force Login.

    Thanks!

I recently released a new version of Force Login (v5.0) that now executes at a later stage in WordPress. This may resolve your conflict with the Google Apps Login plugin.

Update Force Login to the new version and let me know if you’re still experiencing issues. Thanks!
