    Hi there,

    I installed the plugin and set a new default avatar, but all users with a default avatar just show the usual WordPress default, am I doing something wrong?

    Also, I changed the size settings for thumbnails and full size image but that ddi not change the size of the avatar that was displayed.

    Ah it’s ok, must have been finger trouble, got it working now.

    I assume that the lack of change in the thumbnail size is down to my theme over-writing the settings? or am I misunderstanding what that setting does?

    Possible that the theme is overriding settings, also possible that the various images need to be regenerated due to new dimensions. WordPress doesn’t do on the fly resizing, it resizes once and stores many copies of an image. The setting is defining the dimensions to be used at point of upload/resize. Worst case, upload a new image/avatar and see if that one is working as expected after those settings are saved.

    Perhaps try out https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ and see if that helps there.
