 * When I use this plugin, I get 2 errors according to Google tag assistant extension.
 * no HTTP response and missing analytics.js script
 * If I use a plugin to insert an asynchronous analytics.js code snippet I do not
   get these errors.
 * I am using these settings
 * snippet type: asynchronous
    which file to download: Analytics.js plugin handling:
   Safe mode Enable Stealth mode lite: enabled track ad blockers: enabled enable
   enhanced link attribution: enabled
 * I have followed the guide to set google analytics to anonymize the data it collects
 * any ideas why this is happening?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fconfusing-errors%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi!
 * The tag assistant checks for this exact string of text ‘www.google-analytics.
   com/analytics.js’. Obviously, it’s not going to find that. So that explains the‘
   missing analytics.js script’ error.
 * Could you provide more information on the No HTTP response error? Because it
   doesn’t seem familiar to me.

 * Hi, thanks for the reply, sorry I have taken so long to get back to you.
 * This is the “more info” supplied by google for missing HTTP error message
 * Missing HTTP Response
    Missing HTTP Response denotes that, while the Google Analytics
   code was detected in the page source, the script itself did not execute. Each
   time the Google Analytics script executes, we expect an HTTP Response carrying
   the tracking request to Google’s servers. This means that the Google Analytics
   code is not implemented properly on the page and no data will be collected. Recommended
   Action: Reinstall the Google Analytics snippet by removing the current iteration,
   copy a new version from the Analytics interface, and insert that version into
   the site.
 * Please let me know if you need any more information?
 * many thanks

 * All of these errors make sense. It didn’t find the ‘original’ tracking code,
   which is correct. CAOS creates a slightly altered one. And therefore it couldn’t
   find any of the subsequent actions.
 * Nothing to worry about! 🙂
