# connection error when adding a new theme

 * I’ve just installed wordpress for the first time, and tried to change the theme.
   After selecting the new theme and pressing the ‘Install’ button, I get taken 
   to the ‘Connection Information’ page which asks for the hostname, username and
   password.
 * I entered ‘localhost’, ‘admin’ and the password that I use to log in to WordPress,
   but I get the error “Username/Password incorrect for admin”.
 * I can’t see how the username and password can be incorrect if they are the ones
   I use to login to WordPress.
 * Any ideas?

 * I retried and got a bit further, but the installation of the new theme still 
   failed. Got the error msg: “Download failed. Could not create Temporary file”
 * Is this to do with permissions?

   permissions thing

 * It was a permissions error. I set the permissions for wp-content to 777 and it
   worked.
