 * Hi,
    I am using wordpress/optimize press for my website and I made a squeeze
   page with an optin box to get emails from my clients. Unfortunatelly, I can’t
   connect my mailchimp account to my wordpress Mailchimp plugin (v1.4.1).In settings
   I log in,wait and then there is a message saying- _Uh-oh, you don’t have any
   lists defined! Please visit MailChimp, login, and setup a list before using this
   tool!_ I actually have three lists. Last year I used a signup form generated
   directly in mail chimp but now I would like to use an optimize press optin box
   and have it all connected. I tried re-installing the plugin and deleting the
   cookies. My user name for my mail chimp account is lamice27. Any help would be
   great.
 * Thank you
    Honza

 * Hey lamice27,
    Thanks so much for writing in here. We definitely want to help
   out here. I’d like to suggest checking on a couple of details with your web host/
   server provider which could be getting in the way of normal operation of this
   element of the plugin.
 * The first thing is to make certain outgoing connections are being allowed. If
   outgoing connections are blocked from the WordPress installation, the plugin
   would be unable to retrieve the lists from the account.
 * Next, see if you can double check your host has enabled the “fsockopen” php function.
   This can sometimes be disabled, and is the function used by the plugin to connect
   to MailChimp.
 * If you can double check these things for us and changing those settings doesn’t
   help (or they don’t apply), if you can get back to us with details of your installation
   that’d be great. Details like WP version, MailChimp plugin version number, and
   potentially the name of your hosting provider as well. If you’d like to send
   more details as well which you wouldn’t want to publish publicly here on the
   forum, you can send an email with your details to wordpress [at] mailchimp [dot]
   com. In that case, though, we’d still appreciate if you could reply here notifying
   us you’ve done so.
 * Thanks,
    Gabe
