# “Connection refused” error

 * Hi there!
 * I have been using this great plugin for many years. Just recently my site has
   been migrated and I noticed that since I have been getting SMTP error messages.
   So I logged in wordpress to check the settings again. Nothing seems to have changed,
   everything seems to be correct. However when sending a test email, I receive 
   a “Connection refused” error.
 * Could you please point me in the right direction as how to fix this issue?

 * Thank you for reaching out to our Support team. We are saddened and concerned
   that you have to face this issue. Since you are using Other SMTP connection, 
   I would highly recommend you updating your credentials in Post SMTP Settings>
   Connection tab.
 * Also, from the Connectivity test report check for the Sockets in the top 3, if
   they are open & available.
 * I believe that updating the settings will resolve your issue. However, if issue
   persists feel free to reach out to me.
