# Connectivity Issues

 * When in the WP Activity Log settings there is an error message at the top of 
   the screen that says: “There are connectivity issues with the database where 
   the WordPress activity log is stored.” I tried to do some searching to see what
   that means but couldn’t find anything. Do you know what the means and how to 
   fix it?

 * Thank you for using our plugin.
 * I am sorry to read about your issue. This happens because in some edge cases,
   the plugin creates “empty external database connections” and tries to use them.
   We will have a patch for this in the next update.
 * In the meantime, to solve this please follow the below procedure:
 * 1) As a precaution, take a backup of the website and the database
    2) Deactivate
   our plugin 3) Delete the rows with the following _option\_name_ from the _wp\
   _options_ table:
 *  – wsal_connection-wsalExtConn
    – wsal_adapter-connection – wsal_connection-wsalArchConn–
   wsal_archive-connection
 * 4) Activate the plugin.
 * That should do the trick. Can you please let us know once you apply the fix?
