* Hi Guys,
* I hope you’re all well.
* I’m creating a website and the homepage will consist only in the logo, the menu,
   and the background picture which is actually a slider done thanks to a plugin.
* It’s all in a child theme from “Make” theme.
* Now here’s the thing.
*
    As seen on the image above, there
   s a white line under the menu. This is actually the container of the page.
* I’m sorry i can’t link to the website i just started construction and it s hosted
   locally.
    I can link to you any page you want though.
* Now if i try to take it out, change the opacity or setting the display to none,
   it also takes out my main menu and the background slider, but all i want is that
   white line to go but only on the home page so we can fully see the images from
   the slider.
* On the other pages, the slider will be gone and there will be more content so
   i will need the container to work normally.
* Any advice ?
    Thanks in advance for any help.
* Best,
    Ollam

* try to use ‘`display: none;`‘ on the CSS selector of that element, and try to
   make the CSS specific to the homepage by using the relevant CSS class `.home`
   which might be output by ‘`body_class()`‘ if that is integrated in your theme.

* try posting in your parent theme’s forum at [https://wordpress.org/support/theme/make#postform](https://wordpress.org/support/theme/make#postform)–
   maybe somebody there can help further without being able to see the site live…

* Thanks a lot for the help.
* The display:none didn’t work but switching from the regular page editor to the
   make one did the trick.
