Not sure if you are still on the hunt for a solid content slider. But, just in case – we’ve recently developed the SlideDeck wordpress plugin. http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/slidedeck-lite-for-wordpress/

It will actually allow you to do exactly what the warpspire site does. But in this case, you can do it dynamically with the Smart SlideDeck. Just choose your post criteria, design template and paste in the embed code and you’ve got a slider that dynamically updates with your content.

You can also author custom slider content with the editor and insert into posts.
