I am really struggling with the excerpt issue. I tried to use another excerpt plugin which didn’t work either so I deactivated it before I installed mPress Custom Front Page. I am a bit confused as to what the issue is with the excerpt. It creates the post with the excerpt and a link to the full which says “via [http://roundhousetalk.com](http://roundhousetalk.com)( example only for you) which when clicked on takes the viewer to the full actual article at that newspaper’s website. However, before the past few days, when posted to the example (my actual site) [http://roundhousetalk.com](http://roundhousetalk.com) front page, it shows the featured image, the excerpt with a “Read more” link so you can also go to the actual article URL. The difference is that when a post excerpt is posted to the front page, the “via” link doesn’t show up and that’s fine. But I need the “Read more” or “Continue to read” link at the end of the excerpt so that user can finish reading the entire article. So, I’m looking to see how to capture the excerpt and include the “Read more” link after the initial 55 words are excerpted. Confusing? That’s what I am trying to do. I’m not needing a custom feed plugin.
