I see the custom post type under the editing menu when contributor is selected, but there are two issues. 1. Unless I also have edit checked for posts the user isn’t even allowed to enter the adin 2. Enabling edit for posts and “the custom post type” allows the user to access the menu, but edit is not visible for the custom post type. Only for the traditional posts . * Thank you for any help. As soon as I remove the traditional “post” type that user can no longer access the admin area in any way. I’m assuming you are modifying or replacing the current_user_can function.
