Control language displayed via JavaScript

Hello and greetings,

I have the free version of TRP installed, with German as default and English as second language. The site will sit in an iframe and the parent site has its own language switcher – meaning I actually need to hide the trp switcher and fetch the required language via the parent window’s URL.

That works: When I call up a page of my site, I can identify the language chosen in the parent page via a small JavaScript. Now is there a way to set the iframe’s page’s language via JavaScript?

i.e. is there a “hook” somewhere in the Plugin that I can use to set it to, say, English?

Preferrably with JavaScript and without having to rewrite the URL (to insert the “en” bit).
