 * My partner and I are having a disagreement about whether or not we should convert
   our site [http://www.bigtopdesigns.com](http://www.bigtopdesigns.com/) to wordpress.
   I would like to convert the entire site in order to create a live feed on the
   main page where the static text is. I know that in order to change the site over
   one must copy the Index.html to a WP Theme that we have created and leave permalinks
   at default settings. Is it worth it to go through this entire process of changeover?
   or should we just install wordpress in part of the site?

 * You can convert html/css into WP
 * All WP is is html/css for the style portion, display, etc.
 * The php code must be added in to make WP work. It’s how everything functions.
 * [http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes)

   start here, theres lots of info and links and here [http://wordpress.org/search/designing+themes](http://wordpress.org/search/designing+themes)
   and even here [http://yoast.com/wordpress-theme-anatomy/](http://yoast.com/wordpress-theme-anatomy/)
 * and how you set up permalinks wouldn’t matter….. WP will write some sort of permalinks….
   default is ugly… all your pages would look like site.com/?p=6
 * I like to use WP for everything, how you do it is up to your desired outcome.
   WP can handle it if you can learn how to do it.
