    Hello there.

I’m using Loco to translate a plugin, the source strings for this plugins are already in US English, the problem is that I’ve added US English as language, but it says 0% translation progress.

What I’d like is to assign all the source strings to this language, in an automatic way. If not, I’d have to copy/paste one by one… which seems crazy.

I hope you guys can help me out with this!

    Thanks in advanced 🙂

It’s not necessary to copy every source string, because when a translation is not found, WordPress will fallback to the source text. You need only translate the strings you want to override with your own custom text.

There is no automated way to copy all msgid fields to msgstr fields. I haven’t added such a feature for the reason stated above.

If you still want to enter all the target strings so you can see a satisfying 100% progress, then you will have to do it manually. You may find the Ctrl-B keyboard shortcut a useful way to this more quickly.

Good stuff that Ctrl-B shortcut. It took me a couple of minutes to get that satisfying 100% progress bar for about 400 strings.

    Thanks!!
