Coraline Theme Backgrounds

The Coraline theme has several (up to four) widget areas, as well as the header and footer… and, of course, you can set a background to the page template under Appearance->Customize->Colors and/or Background Image… But a problem occurs at this point…

I want to use a background tile for my main pattern, which is easy enough, but the problem is with the header, widgets and footer backgrounds – which are transparent… I would like them to be a plain old opaque white…

Is there a way to do this?
