"core" folder removed after last update

After updating the plugin yesterday to version 4.0.028 my map nor my results list would display. There was as JS error stating that the ‘wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/core/js/csl.js’ could not be found. After looking at the test installation I set up on the same server, I discovered that the ‘wp-content/plugins/store-locator-le/core’ directory was missing altogether. I copy/pasted it into the live directory and it fixed the issue.

Why would the latest release remove this folder? What will happen the next time I update the plugin? Will I have to repeat this process?
