 * My website was managed and hosted on a different service provider initially.
   Due to to some service issues I moved my website to another host. But I got an
   auto email from my previous provider that they have updated my website
    to a
   new version of wordpress (4.9.2) and its really got updated. Do my previous provider
   still have access to my website ? I do not want these auto upgrades and from
   previous hosting provider. Please suggest.

 * Contact your current hosting provider and discuss with them.

 * If you’ve moved your site to a new host and haven’t shut down the old hosting
   account yet, you basically have 2 versions of your site runninb, but only the
   new one is showing to the public. That means that they can both be updated, so
   what you’re seeing is correct.
 * To stop this problem is very simple. Make sure that your new version of the site
   is running correctly and you don’t have anything on the old site that you need
   any longer, and simply cancel the old hosting account.

 * Hi Catacaustic,
 * Thank you for giving information.
    So do you mean to say that if the old website
   wordpress get updated then it will also apply on new website version ?

 * No, not at all. They are two completely different systems that do not interact
   with each other in any way. The new site may update if automatic updates are
   enabled, but this has nothing to do with the old site.

 * ok.
 * So it means that new site and old site both were auto updated at the same time
   but they have nothing to do with each other.
