couldnt change background

Hi.I searched and found some methods to change background image but they didnt work.Here is my template zip file in case it is needed.

Background images are normally edited in the css files.

Thanks for answer.There was this line:

background-color: #4e1212

i replaced this with

background: #4e1212 url(images/bg.jpg);

but didnt work.

Did you upload your bg.jpg in your theme’s images folder as well?

Can you provide a link to your site?

I can see this in the style.css:

background-color: #4e1212 url(images/bg.jpg);

Try:
background: #4e1212 url(images/bg.jpg);

Sorry, no blackish colour, but just the background image.
You might need to clear your cache.

I disabled all of my plugins and cleared browser cache.Now i can see that image for a moment than the black thing covers it entirely again.

Maybe your screen is not big enough.. Try hitting the control (command) minus key and reduce your website.. your bg image covers the background.

On a second thought it would be best if i remove or change the color of that black-dark red part.Can someone tell me how?
