Couldn't resolve host 'jetpack.wordpress.com'

    I suddenly started getting an error for jetpack stats. Even after refreshing it couple of times, the stats did not show up so i deactivated and reactivated the plugin.

    Now i am getting this error:

    Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host. Couldn’t resolve host ‘jetpack.wordpress.com’

    Please help.
