• First of all, i installed the vantage theme into my wordpress.
1st error comes here: when i click on “Widgets” i get an Internal Server Error.

2ndly, I paid USD$15 and then keyed in the order number that i got from my email to upgrade the theme.

3rdly, when i click on ‘Appearance’-> ‘HomePage’ it request me to install the Pagebuilder, and so i did.
    After installing Page builder:
I click on ‘Appearance’-> ‘HomePage’ i would get an Internal Server Error

Following that, clicking on ‘Pages’ and when i click on Edit on any of the pages, i also get an internal server error.

only after i deactivate the plugin Pagebuilder.
my Pages is working fine again.

please advice how can solve this problem?

    Thank you
    Derrick

    Hi there Derrick!

I’ve actually heard of this problem with Page Builder before. I haven’t been able to track down what the problem is yet though. Do you by any chance have access to your server logs? Seeing what’s triggering the fatal error would be a massive help.

Do you have any other plugins installed besides Page Builder? A full list would be helpful too.

Hoping we can get this sorted for you ASAP.

    Dear Derrick

Thank you for holding. From our checks we are unable to find further information from the IIS logs and event viewer inside the server when replicating the issue. The logs that plesk is currently logging for your domain can be found in (1.jpg). The usual scenario where clients encounter 500 internal server error would be to inform APC as you did and APC will enter the server to view the error. However even inside the server we are seeing the same error page as you with no further information.

What we suspect is that as this is a wordpress setup which is running on Windows there may be some php settings or conflict that is preventing the Page Builder from running properly. Could you liaise with Page Builder vendor and let them know you are facing the internal server error but the domain logs and event viewer do not show any other information. Could Page Builder advice further regarding the php settings to check and or server settings they want us to change ? If possible we will proceed with your change request. Below is the plesk version you are using and the server OS. Kindly assist.

    – Plesk 11.5.30
    – Windows Server 2012

    Hi Derrick

I don’t think there are any special configurations needed to run Page Builder.

I’ve never tested Page Builder on a Windows Server environment though, so there might be a little bit of trickery needed to get it working on there. I wouldn’t imagine so though.

Can you ask your hosts what version of PHP they’re running?

Is there any reason you’re using a Windows Server? Running in a Linux environment might work a little better.

    Hi Derrick,

I am having the exact same issue with Page builder and IIS. Did you find a solution for it ?

    Cheers,

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get to the bottom of this issue Harish. If you have access to your server error logs and could send them to me, that’d be a huge help.

    Hi Greg,

I get the below error on the screen

    ‘Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.’

Nothing seen on the error logs, ill try to get in touch with hosting company to see if i can get more logs
