# Crashed database

 * Hi all,
    We had an email from our host saying they had a crash and we somehow
   now have a corrupted database, Any help would be appreciated, I tried the repair
   and here are the results;
 * The wp_users table is not okay. It is reporting the following error: Table ‘svmistre_wp33.
   wp_users’ doesn’t exist. WordPress will attempt to repair this table…
    Failed
   to repair the wp_users table. Error: Table ‘svmistre_wp33.wp_users’ doesn’t exist
 * The wp_usermeta table is not okay. It is reporting the following error: Table‘
   svmistre_wp33.wp_usermeta’ doesn’t exist. WordPress will attempt to repair this
   table…
    Failed to repair the wp_usermeta table. Error: Table ‘svmistre_wp33.wp_usermeta’
   doesn’t exist
 * The wp_posts table is not okay. It is reporting the following error: Table ‘svmistre_wp33.

 * Ask the host to restore a backup of your database and/or your whole site.
 * If they don’t have a backup to restore for you, they’re a pretty terrible host.

 * Thanks for that, we had no backup and the host said they restored our site but
   that the database was still corrupted.. So I am guessing we have lost our site,
   well all the stuff is still there just no database to control it I guess…

 * Hard lesson to learn about not having your own backups; but that webhost sounds
   very unreliable, too.
