# Create a Redirect

 * Hello noob local hosted install question, I have hosted a site in past on big
   name providers but decided to use my Raspberry Pi to locally host the site.
 * I got it up and running BUT I have to go to MachineName.local/wordpress to get
   to the site, if try to just go to machinename.local it displays the **Apache2
   Debian Default Page**.
   I want to use Dynu to redirect the page to my local pi,
   but think i need to get the redirect to the WordPress page fixed first, and to
   clarify, I do not JUST want to redirect to the /worpress, I want to have the 
   homepage at the root of the URL /

    1. **Move WordPress to the root:**
    2.  - Ensure all WordPress files are in `/var/www/html`.
    3. **Update Apache VirtualHost:**
    4.  - Change the `DocumentRoot` to `/var/www/html`.
    5. **Update WordPress URL:**
    6.  - In WordPress settings, set both “WordPress Address” and “Site Address” to`
          http://machinename.local`.
    7. **Restart Apache:**
    8.  - Restart Apache with `sudo service apache2 restart`.
 * Now, `machinename.local` should load your WordPress site. After confirming, set
   up Dynu for redirection to your Raspberry Pi’s static IP. [ ,](https://www.cosmesurgehospital.com.pk)
