Creating a conditional menu based on the date?

Hi,
I’m trying to create a site where you can apply for volunteerwork in a legal clinic. Now, it is only possible to apply as a volunteer in the first 3 weeks of September and the first 3 weeks of February.
I made 2 pages, one with a application form and one that says ‘application period is over, please check back later’. I also made 2 menu’s: one with the application-form-page (menu 1) and one with the application-period-is-over-page (menu 2).
Is there any way (by code or plugin) to switch automatically between these 2 menu’s based on the time/date?

One way to do this is by modifying header.php. Look at https://github.com/Automattic/_s/blob/master/header.php#L50 for an example. Modify that code in your theme’s* header.php to use a different menu based on date. I’d do it by adding a 2nd menu location (see https://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Function_Reference/register_nav_menus), then choosing between locations based on date. Each of the two menus would be assigned to the appropriate location under appearance->menus.
* you should, of course, make a child theme to do this.
