 * Hi there,
 * I’ve recently set up Authy on a WordPress install. It works fine.. and Shield
   works fine.. but they both don’t work fine together 😉
 * After successfully authenticating with Authy on login, I get sent back to the
   login screen with an error saying a “Shield user session does not exist”. Logging
   in again goes through the Authy login process successfully again, but then returns
   back to the login page again with the same error.
 * Authy is a 2-factor authentication service that basically replaces Google’s Authenticator
   app, among other things. Their WordPress plugin is here: [https://en-au.wordpress.org/plugins/authy-two-factor-authentication/](https://en-au.wordpress.org/plugins/authy-two-factor-authentication/)
 * Is it possible to add support for navigating the Authy login flow into Shield?
   I’d love to be able to use both plugins. 🙂

 * I haven’t dug into the Authy code, but my guess is that they’re not calling,
   or properly calling, the WordPress action `wp_login`. If this hook is fired,
   then the User sessions system for Shield will get triggered correctly.
 * It’s a standard WordPress login hook which should be fired.
 * Hope this helps.

 * Thanks Paul, appreciate that. I’ll check their code and get in touch with them
   then.

 * For anyone else coming across this, the Authy plugin doesn’t appear to be calling
   the `wp_login` action; [I’ve posted in their support forum](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/compatibility-with-shield-plugin-wp_login-action/)
   too.
