# Creating posts from file uploads?

 * I have a client who has a set of files that are actually mostly documents that
   were op-eds or position papers that are meant to be read online, or downloaded.
   We have installed a plugin that manages the file upload/download/preview; but
   having the files attached to a post would be better.
 * I’ve looked around but have not seen a plugin that does anything like that. Has
   anyone else seen something like that?

 * Are you aware that attachments are posts also? They each have their own permalink.
   
   If your plugin is making normal entries to the Media Library, the documents are
   posts, although they have a post type of attachment, which means that WP treats
   them a little differently.
