I am reporting a critical issue with Clover Payments for WooCommerce Version 2.3.0 that is causing a flood of failed orders on our site.

    Facts Confirmed via Logs:

    • The previous working version was 2.2.0.
    • The plugin was updated to Version 2.3.0 on October 28, 2025.
    • The very first log entry showing the error Clover Blocks Payment Processing: Invalid nonce appeared on October 28, 2025 (less than 20 hours after the update).
    • This error has appeared consistently in every daily log file since the update, leading to frequent payment failures.

Action Taken: As a temporary measure to restore payment stability, I have manually rolled back the plugin to the previous Version 2.2.0 and disabled auto-updates.

For the Developers: Please investigate this version 2.3.0 update, as the timeline strongly indicates a bug was introduced, likely related to nonce generation or validation in the new block-based checkout code, or a conflict with server-side caching. I am currently monitoring the live site and expect the errors to disappear with Version 2.2.0 running.

This is the result I’m getting on my checkout page and I see a bunch of errors in my status logs too. I didn’t change anything. Something is screwy with this plugin and it’s not the first time I’ve had issues with it after a new version is released.

Does the plugin developer even look at this forum? I’m disgusted by the number of unresolved topics on it. I’m surprised Clover isn’t paying attention to what their developers are doing. It’s not giving them a very good reputation.
