# Critical error

 * The last update created a problem on my site. If plugin is active, clicking “
   add new post” gives this error:

 * The adding a post, should not be affected by our payment plugin. How did you 
   verify that our plugin is causing this? Did you already do [conflict testing](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/)?
   Please provide more information and explain why you think our plugin is causing
   this? However, we don’t expect our plugin to have any effect on the creation 
   of posts.

 * The plugin is implicated per my webhost. I don’t know what is sensitive here:

 * As suggested by [@joostvandevijver](https://wordpress.org/support/users/joostvandevijver/),
   a good first step is to troubleshoot by disabling all other plugins. This will
   help us isolate whether the issue is with the PayPal Payments plugin alone or
   if it’s a conflict with another plugin. Here’s what you should do:
    1. Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and PayPal Payments.
    2. Check if the problem persists. If the error disappears, this indicates a conflict.
    3. To find the conflicting plugin, enable each plugin one by one and check for 
       the error after each activation.
 * Once you identify which plugin is causing the conflict (if any), please let us
   know. Please try the above steps and let me know the results.

 * This is not resolved. This situation outlined in the first post is ongoing and
   this plugin is implicated. This is according to my dev and also wordpress.
 * “Howdy! WordPress has a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme 
   causes a fatal error on your site, and notifies you with this automated email.
 * In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, WooCommerce
   PayPal Payments…”
 * There is ZERO doubt there is a problem.

 * there could be an issue, but it does not seem that this bug/conflict has been
   caused by only our plugin. We expect this is a mix of our plugin with another
   plugin or theme. If this would not be the case, we would have many more reports
   of this, which we don’t.
 * If you want us to have a closer look, it might be better to create a [private engagement](https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-paypal-payments/#get-help),
   so you can provide the system report and possible other details that could help
   us isolate the cause for this situation.
 * Also, you never told us what the outcome was of conflict testing, so when you
   open this private thread, please also let us know about this and add the URL 
   of this thread, so we are aware of the history of this support request.
