# CSS Editor in Development Mode

 * CSS editor won’t work while in development mode. The activate button is there
   and appears to work, but the Edit CSS menu item doesn’t show up in Appearance.
   Reloading Jetpack main page shows the Editor as active (no opacity, and deactivate
   button).
 * WP 3.8, Jetpack 2.7 *** local install using Apache vhost, production URL spoofed
   by hosts file entry.

 * I can’t seem to reproduce the problem on my end. The Custom CSS menu appears 
   properly, and the Custom CSS stylesheet is properly added to my local site:

 * Could you try deactivating all other plugins, and see if it helps?
