CSS in child theme not working

    Hi guys

    I currently have the following in my CSS for the free virtue theme:
    ____________________________________________
    .home-iconmenu a h4 {color:#034ea2;}
    .home-iconmenu a {background:transparent;}
    .home-iconmenu a:hover h4 {color:#fff;}
    .home-iconmenu a {background:#ddd;}

    header {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    }

    _____________________________________________

    None of it is working, can anybody advise?
