 * Newbie: What is normally used for doing CSS templates as far as editors? Something
   like bbedit or are there good WYSIWYG CSS editors out there?

 * You can learn a tremendous amount using Topstyle:
    [http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/](http://www.bradsoft.com/topstyle/)
   They have a “lite” version available for free, but I would highly recommend buying
   the full version if you can.

 * I’d agree with Allusion.
    [http://www.nvu.com](http://www.nvu.com) is also rated
   by some as an editor for css. I don’t know of a wysiwyg editor, but then I only
   ever check out freeware. From comments here sometimes, Dreamweaver is used by
   some.

 * I use dreamweaver and I like it- but for php based stuff it isn’t so helpful
   because it doesn’t show the parsed php in the design window.
    But the css properties
   editor is definately helpful if you do not know css tags through and through

 * I also vote with Allusion for TopStyle. It’s an excellent program and a great
   teacher too, if you’re not fluent in all the css elements, classes, etc. good
   luck!
