# Custom attribute data suddenly changed to "Array"

 * Hi,
 * We’re using a few custom attributes on our site:
 * #_ATT{Contact}
    #_ATT{Phone} #_ATT{Website}
 * They were working fine, and then at some point, our event adder person said that
   the existing values in there were changing to the word “Array”. And new values
   wouldn’t save; they would just say “Array” in the field after saving.
 * For testing purposes, I created a new custom attribute:
    #_ATT{Test Attribute}
 * It seemed to save my data (“test”) just fine. So I guess it’s only the pre-existing
   attributes that are affected by this.
 * Any idea what that could be, and if there’s any way to get those fields to work
   again, and/or get that data back?
 * Thanks in advance for your help! (I tried searching for an answer but haven’t
   found anyone talking about it.)

 * This sounds like something may have resaved the data. Do you have any plugins
   installed that deal with custom fields?

 * Hi caimin,
 * Thanks for replying. No, we don’t have any plugins that appear to use custom 
   fields other than Events Manager. And actually, the changes first started showing
   up when we would update an existing event. Saving the event would kill the custom
   attribute values (and render them “Array”).
