# Custom Author Permalink

 * Hi,
 * I’m looking at how customisable the author permalink is, I’ve managed to use 
   a function to drop the standard author/ base and replace it with the custom base
   user/
 * Is it possible to take this even further so that rather than using the authors
   nicename as the follow on such as user/first-last is it possible to use a random
   sequence of numbers such as user/24502 ?
