 * Hi, I’ve integrated WordPress into a larger site which has some custom tags that
   I’d like to use in wordpress posts. The custom tags are things like `<name>Name
   of Peson</name>` which creates a link to other information about that person.
 * The problem is, WordPress strips these tags out. Is there a way to get it to
   stop doing this, but still use the nice visual editor and not change the general
   way of using WordPress?
 * Thanks in advance!

 * The “nice” visual editor – is a nightmare. And no, it doesn’t let you write code
   into it. Disable it.

 * I believe that even without the nice visual editor on, WP still strips out non-
   standard HTML.
