 * I am very new to word press. I love this plugin. However, I was wondering if
   I can edit my footer with this plugin or if I need to create a child theme?
 * Thank you.

 * Hi Mrmccarrin,
 * It depends what you are trying to do with your footer. If you just want to alter
   the styling (with CSS) then you can do that right through the Custom CSS plugin.
 * However, if you want to alter the markup (the HTML that is generated) then you
   would have to create a child theme.
 * If you elaborate on what you are trying to do, we can help with a more definitive
   answer.

 * Are you trying to recreate that footer exactly? And what does your current footer
   consist of?

 * In this case, you should create a child theme. You’ll have to modify some template
   files, so Custom CSS won’t be able to handle all of your desired changes. Once
   you have the child theme created, then you can start building the footer.
 * The WordPress Codex has some good information on [Child Themes](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
   You can also check out this article over at ManageWP for a tutorial on creating
   a child theme: [https://managewp.com/how-to-create-a-child-theme](https://managewp.com/how-to-create-a-child-theme)
 * Good luck! And if you have any additional questions along the way, feel free
   to ask!

 * Thank you. I have created my child theme and activated. I am trying to recreate
   the site [http://www.pearsonkoutcherlaw.com](http://www.pearsonkoutcherlaw.com)
   for my company (not just the footer). Now that I have a child theme created,
   I am not really sure where to go? Can you point me in the right direction?

 * Never mind. I figured it out when I read the material you provided. Thank you.
